Health Nest Uganda

Health Nest Uganda (HENU) is an indigenous Non-Profit Making Organization based in Entebbe which reaches out to the older persons, their families, and communities. It was started in 2007 and registered by the government of Uganda in 2009 with a vision of having an empowered and pro-active community that can effectively and efficiently respond to health-related problems and other social needs. We seek to promote dignity, equality, independence of the individuals and the communities we serve. HENU focuses on community strengths and ensures that the communities we engage with, especially older persons, are participating fully as active agents of change.

Hope for Youth Uganda

Hope for Youth-Uganda (HFYU) is a registered local NGO operating in rural communities of Nama and Kyampisi sub-counties of Mukono district, Uganda. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children and young adults in our communities by empowering them through provision of free basic primary and vocational education skills, as well as access to health services; while restoring hope in them.

The Batwa Project

Virunga Massive Community Conservation (VMCC) is a registered nonprofit making organization in Uganda. It aims at making sustainable improvement in the lives of local communities neighboring Virunga massive volcanic conservation areas. The program implementation is focused at empowering communities surrounding national parks of Mgahinga and Bwindi in their achievement of sustainable conservation, livelihood and community resilience. The program seeks to strengthen and protect the capacity of native Batwa and other minority groups in poverty alleviation and self-reliance. VMCC emphasizes promotion of eco-tourism and conservation of critically endangered mountain gorillas and general natural habitat.
