The Batwa Crafts Shop

The Batwa Project strives to strengthen individual and local community capacity through empowering people with entrepreneurship skills and sustainable income generating activities.

The goal of the Batwa Crafts Shop is to provide HOPE & generate self-sustaining revenue. The Batwa community have a dream to have a crafts shop they can “home” and their own that will give them hope that there is a bright future ahead. The shop will also provide a space to meet with local Batwa leaders, host guests, and store food/medical supplies.

Elders have worked to secure the land on which the Crafts Shop will be built.

We are raising $15,000 to support the Crafts Shop and support the Batwa community dream to eventually build a cultural centre.
